Secondary Treatment Permit Submittal Requirements

Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), Drinking Water and Environmental Health Division is providing this memorandum to active and potential secondary treatment public water supplies.
The purpose of this memo is to clarify the Michigan Safe Drinking Water Act, 1976 PA 399, as amended (Act 399), requirement that plans and specifications for construction or alteration to a public water supply must be prepared by a professional engineer (P.E.), licensed under Article 20 of Public Act 299 of 1980, as amended (Occupational Code).
