Biography:
David MacDonald has over 20 years of experience in the power generation industry, ranging from on-site power generation, natural gas gathering and compression, and managing various utility programs including retail electric choice, demand response, distributed generation and energy efficiency. He has spent time in the manufacturing world with Caterpillar and MTU, and on the utility side of the business with DTE Energy and Constellation Energy. Currently he is with KEMA Services acting as the Strategic Marketing Manager supporting the Consumers Energy commercial & industrial energy efficiency programs here in Michigan.

Presentation Title: Energy Efficiency & Sustainability

Synopsis:

The presentation focuses on the use of energy and specifically energy efficiency as part of a company's sustainability initiatives. A case will be presented for an energy efficiency program that can generate an ROI for energy dollar vs. other measures. Along with this there will be a discussion of the energy efficiency rebate program mandated by the state, along with different measures that can take advantage of rebates and save energy.
