Supporting Test Administration Material

Before the administration of the MECH Certification Test, the following material needs to be downloaded and printed. These test materials are required to complete, score, and send the assessment results to MECH:

Returning Tests for Scoring

Be sure to check the test material before sending them for scoring. Your Proctor Guide should be followed explicitly, but these are some quick checks that should be made every time:

  • Each test booklet should contain answer sheets, pilot questions, and any other scrap paper used by the participant.
  • Include a printed attendance roster, filled out by you (Proctor) and not the candidates. This will be used to ensure proper spelling of names.
  • Mail all test material as you receive it from the candidate. Tracking numbers are suggested to ensure that these sensitive materials are not lost. Send the material to the MECH Scoring Center:

Establishing Certification Testing Within Your Institution – On-Site Certification

  • The “On-Site Certification” program provides a means of setting up testing within your institution. It requires identifying a person, using the Proctor Checklist, who would become a MECH Proctor and be a direct liaison with MECH Headquarters. To understand the responsibilities, please download and review the latest version of the MECH Proctor Guide Version 2 PDF  (above) and the Proctor Checklist (below). A MECH Proctor Affidavit is required to identify and establish a MECH Proctor in your institution. Download the Proctor Affidavit below; fill it out; keep a copy; send the original by mail to MECH using the information provided on the bottom of the affidavit:
  • Proctor Checklist
  • Proctor Affidavit
