MECH Services

MECH attempts to make the
certification process easy. In stead of sending mechanics to a central location
for testing that could be miles and days away, MECH has established “On Site
Certification” to help institutions, managers, and healthcare mechanics with
certification activities.
On Site Certification (OSC) is a method to ensure the
security of the MECH national certification materials and to reduce the cost of
certification to the institution. OnSite Certification allows mechanics to test
within the institution that they work. The central aspect of On Site
Certification is that one person within the institution is identified as the
liaison between MECH and the healthcare mechanic. Benefits of an On Site Certification
program are:
The MECH program consists of the following tools and
materials to help certify healthcare mechanics:
·
The “Structured Interview” Manual: A tool
used to hire the best healthcare mechanics for the job. It contains
instructional information necessary to conduct comprehensive and consistent
interviews. The Manual contains: interview questions, hiring matrix, job
descriptions, and more.
·
The MECH Test Preparation Manual: A manual developed
to help mechanics prepare to take the test in the months and years prior to
taking the certification test.
·
First level of Certification: Called the “Certified” Healthcare Mechanic. Requires that the
mechanic demonstrate a minimum of two years of verifiable healthcare
maintenance work experience.
·
Second level of
Certification: Called the “Senior Certified”
Healthcare Mechanic. Requires that the mechanic demonstrate a minimum of four
years of verifiable healthcare maintenance work experience.
·
