West Michigan Members

2010 continued to be another challenging year for healthcare and 2011 looks to be interesting with local, state and national leadership change that fills our daily lives with uncertainty. Fortunately some things do remain certain; our Regional Chapter continues to be strong and growing.

One item in particular I want address this year is membership. Associate membership is thriving and I want to see that continue to grow and I encourage the associate members to take advantage of providing educational opportunities to the professional membership. Professional membership is the foundation of MiSHE and I’m asking that all current members share with your colleagues the advantages of becoming a professional member so that WM-MiSHE continues to be a progressive chapter.

As with any organization, active membership participation is crucial. The importance of working together in West Michigan is imperative to our success now more than ever. I challenge all of you to become engaged in our chapter. Share your stories of Best Practices and Efficiencies to help all of us become better leaders.

I look forward to seeing you at our bi-monthly meetings as well as the MiSHE annual conference being held in Kalamazoo in September 2011. Additionally, look for changes in the Web content to change to keep you updated on agendas, meeting minutes, chapter information and educational events.

As the holidays approach, I hope you find yourself and your family well and in good spirits!!
