Synopsis
of: Cleaning for
Health, Safety & the Environment
Cleaning in the
past has mostly been about appearance. Now in the 21st century the
paradigm is
switching to cleaning for health, safety and the environment. Knowledge
about the impact of
cleaning on the health of building occupants, operators and the environment
plays an important
role in your success in the cleaning industry.
This full-day interactive program will cover the make-up and proper use of
standard cleaning
chemistries, green cleaning as more than just products, and custodial safety
procedures like blood
borne pathogen, hazard communications, bio-hazardous waste, and MSD
sheets. Led by industry
experts the program will review the selection of chemicals for soil removal and
killing germs, dilution
ratios, chemical reactions and how to avoid them, implementing a recycling
program, practical steps
and tools to get started or add to your existing recycling program, as well as
measuring the results of
your environmental focus.
