ECMSHE meeting held September 12, 2000 at Howard Johnson's, Stacey's Family Restaurant at I-75 and M-84.

Breakfast was served, a la carte.

Presentation by Gerry Manning, Fire Protection Specialist, Hilti Corporation.
  Samples of materials and devices for sealing penetrations.
  Handout: book of regulations, available materials and devices from Hilti.
  Introduction: Craig M. Goslin, Generalist Senior Salesman, Hilti Corporation.
  He is scheduled for a full-scale presentation at the 2000 MiSHE Annual Conference.

Treasurer’s Report: $6116.30

Business:
    Dan Cowsert will present $500 scholarship check to MiSHE at the annual conference.
    MiSHE will present two $1000 scholarships this year at the annual conference.
    MiSHE web site is being updated. New web site maintenance company will be doing updates.
    MECH testing: they are discussing the possibility of formal training seminar.
    MECH also provides a pre-employment test, for helping quantify abilities and knowledge.

How are drains being handled in facilities in the x-ray department? Problems with silver nitrate buildup/disposal. Containment tray under processors? Air gap? Indirect waste? Please contact him with any addition input.
