From the president

I look forward to the coming year and hope for MISHE to experience a time of tremendous growth, which is always welcome. We need more members if we’re to continue enjoying the network that this organization is based upon.

The time we spend together is always time well spent, in my opinion, because I always see not only networking possibilities but an exchange of encouragement by the members. People wanting to help people in order that someone’s job might be made a little easier or a decision made with more confidence. We are all entrusted with buildings that house millions of dollars worth of equipment, sometimes, and doesn’t it help when you can talk to someone who has already had experience with a similar piece of equipment, either repairing or replacing it? Educated decisions are respected by our CEO’s because they always save money. The regional meetings are important! Please do your best to attend them and help make your position in your company worth so much more.

Whenever I speak to a vendor, I mention the MISHE conference. When I talk to an engineer that isn’t a member, I always encourage that person to join or go to a meeting to see what it’s about. This organization has done a lot of good for a lot of people and I feel we should promote it as much as possible. It just makes good sense.
