Golf Outing

It’s that time of year again!  Time to start planning for the annual “MISHE Conference Golf Outing”. This year it will be held in Gaylord at the Treetops Resort and we’re looking forward to an outing that surpasses last year!   We’ll be playing the “Tradition” which is one of the finest courses Gaylord has to offer.  Shotgun start at 12 noon on Wednesday September 28, 2005. (Registration opens at 10:30 am).  We will be playing a scramble format and everyone is welcome to join in.  Whether you’re a seasoned league player or a once-a-year player, it doesn’t matter.  Our main focus is to have fun, enjoy the day and the good relations this event brings about.

Afterwards, a barbecue, with hamburgers, hot-dogs and all the trimmings.  The price is $49.00 per person (for eighteen holes with a cart) and the barbecue lunch is included.

TreeTops is home to 81 holes of championship golf. Five distinctly different courses by renowned designers Robert Trent Jones, Sr., Tom Fazio and Rick Smith offer one of the best collections of golf anywhere in the country.

This collection is the reason Treetops has been named one of the nation’s finest golf facilities, behind only Pebble Beach and Pinehurst. Dramatic views, contours and rolling terrain provide a beautiful setting for world-class golfing. Treetops is truly the pinnacle of golfing in the Midwest.”

FISHING DERBY

This event is a golfing alternative for those members who do not golf, would not like to try to golf, or have sworn off golf.

The cost is $25 per person and includes bait and snacks.

Jeff Badgero, 2005 MiSHE President, and Mitch Saxton, 2005 MiSHE President of the North Central Regional Chapter, are working to establish the first ever MiSHE Fishing Derby.

Plans are to have at least two pontoon boats.  All fish will have to be caught that day from the contest boats.  Prizes for the first legal caught, largest caught and the most caught.  Judges will be present on each boat.  There may be competition between boats.

Mosquitoes provided.  Quantity of fish not guaranteed, but a fun time is!

Everyone will meet at the Dixon Lake Public Access, south and east of Gaylord. Meet there at NOON!: Map and driving directions Note: Use the Driving Directions feature to get directions from where you are (right side of the window).

Space is limited.  Interested parties should contact the event planner Jeff Badgero two weeks prior to the event at 231-258-7688

For more information or to sign up send Jeff Badgero an email note. Or call  231-258-7688
